Guest hvacman250
When our male goes potty, his pee is super strong. It almost takes your breath away on a 5 ft lead. He only goes 2-3 times a day, but goes for probably 30 seconds. Last walk he peed on the neighbors driveway. On the way back in, I could smell it before we got back to the spot (it was almost dry on the warm concrete) Ive never been able to smell pee from our girl or our first male foster. Should I be concerned? For notes: he drinks plenty, eats good, and acts fine.
Guest SkinnyLegDogLover
2-3 times a day isn't much...are you sure you're getting him out enough? If he's "holding" it, it would be pretty strong.
Guest trevdog
Ossie has always been that way....for some reason 2x a day seems to work for him, maybe 3, no matter how often he goes out....
Guest hvacman250
Thats all he will go. If its only been a couple hours, he wont go at all, no matter how long you stay out. Our girly will pee every hour if I let her. We havent been going out as much because she is recovering from a toe injury, and he still has 9 stiches in his front leg. His urine has always smelled super strong though.
CaliforniaGreys
It may be nothing, but you may want to get a urine sample in for a culture just to be on the safe side. Guest D_MansMommy
I would have an urine check just to be sure. Also, increase the water intake. Preferably filtered water. Filtered water made a HUGE difference in my pups and kitties health. Thanks to Burpdog for that suggestion
GreytHoundPoet
Lucius has strong urine in the mornings. He's healthy but it still smells a bit strong.
