I never had a dog lbefore let alone a Greyhound. Being as clueless as can be, I looked to the internet for help and found your site. I had many ''AHHA' ! moments from reading all the blogs. Sadly, Spirit has been found to have Cancer in his kidneys and spleen, and is to far gone to help. He's home with me now [i'm so greatful for that] to live out his last days. I can't even begin to describe the joy he has given me ,he literally changed my life. As hard as it is, I'm focusing on his comfort and the memories he's given me. I hope both of you enjoy the time left and make sure he gets ice cream....I'm a newbie too but that's what I hear everyone else feeding their Greys. It sounds like you love Spirit and that is what he was looking for, love and companionship. Take care and give him a hug from me so he knows there are many people who love him...
