Guest DundeeToddsMom
We took Eve back to the regular vet yesterday, after a round of Metacam, since she was still limping (saw new fill-in vet while regular vet was on vacation). Reg vet examined Eve and thinks something is going on with her spine/disc and is sending us to Neurologist. Eve limps when she walks. The vet pressed on her back going down her spine and right in between her shoulder blades when the vet pushed Eve bent her legs in pain. The vet thinks it's between her Cervical (?) and Thorasic area. She didn't want to take X-rays in since this is a hard area and they have to knock her out - vet thought she might take the wrong view. Vet said the best possible diagnoise tool would be an MRI - and runs approx $1,000+. Has anyone had any experience with anything like this? I'm worried for my girl and don't know what to expect. Vet said they do operate on backs/spines. Any advise please!! Our appointment is Friday morning.
