Guest charmsmom
I went out for ONE HOUR and left Diamond with DH. I said "Watch her and if she starts licking her leg, muzzle her again." I came home to a once-again bloody dog!!!!! It was FINALLY healing, and she went and undid it all again!!!! Still, I guess it's better than happy tail... 4greyhounds
Poor baby, I hope she gets better soon. I understand dh just don't watch them like we do and it only takes a second, I understand I have been there it is so hard to get them well when they keep licking. It is very frustrating. Batmom
Know how frustrated you must feel. I had to keep Zema's leg bandaged for 2 weeks after the staples came out -- well, after she chewed her bandage off and took the staples out herself . I'd probably go for a bandage with some adhesive (not too strong, skin is delicate there) and a muzzle with tape or a poop cup to keep her mouth off of it. Hugs and luck! CaliforniaGreys
Oh NO!!!!! It looks too big for New Skin, but it looks like it'll need to be kept wrapped. That poor girl, and poor you! Guest Vinnie
Oh, poor Diamond. I had her on my mind yesterday and sent you an email (you know, the one I was going to send out earlier until my world crumbled around me in the past 2 weeks ) I hope it will help her to heal. Keeping you all in our thoughts.
ShantisMom
Shanti is the same way! So frustrating!!! I am having the best luck with human wrap (the fire stations equivalent of vet wrap, just stickier) and athletic tape over the middle to secure. Then I spray it with Yuck. Shanti currently has both back legs wrapped from licking sores. Quote The Girls
Guest charmsmom
I have had her in a muzzle with tape over it. It's just that every time she runs/walks/moves it starts bleeding again. I slathered it with some more Silver, but this is also my kennel weekend, so she'll be home with hubby for 8 or 9 hours, both days. Monday, I'm going to start looking into some alternative therapy!
