Mystella
Glad to hear Conner is doing better Yes, Stella takes daily metacam too and it sure adds up, I pay about $70 for a two month supply from my vet. Quote Take the time to stop and smell the flowers - appreciate your everyday ordinary miracles Carolyn, Faith, Jeff Gordon (aka Jeffy) and Oscar the chilla. Desperately missing our Stella, we'll see you later sweet girl.

Guest koolaidnconner
So I just got a call from Conner's doctor. She has been talking to an internal specialist in the states and they do dont think that Conner would be responding to the meds if it were his IBD. Apparently Medicam works on joints not on internal organs. So we have to lower the dose for the next month and then take him off. With in a few days after taking him off if he is in pain again then they believe that he may have a spinal disease, I can't remember the name of it. I believe it starts with an L. Does anyone else have spinal problems with there greys? She said he could have developed this because of the extreme straining he does. Here we go again. Just not knowing. I am almost thinking that it would be cheaper for me to just take a ride with Conner to OSO is it?? I can't remember the name....
CaliforniaGreys
One of my boys had problems with his spine. Wasn't a disease per say, but he had bone spurs in his neck and along the spine. He was on metacam and I also took him for acupuncture which helped him a bit. The vet who did the acupuncture also had me massage his neck and along the spine with Traumeel gel which is a homeopathic anti-inflamatory.He also told me to get an electric blanket for his bed. I sure hope Conner gets to feeling better, he's been through enough Edited July 31, 2008 by cbudshome Quote Missing my little Misty who took a huge piece of my heart with her on 5/2/09, and Ekko, on 6/28/12 For the sick, the lost, and the homeless
