Guest Pharaohs_Dad
Anyone know where I can learn or read CPR for a greyhound & maybe have it pinned here on the site someplace?
MP_the4pack
Go to your local Red Cross Chapter and see if they are planning on holding a pet first aid course. I took it a couple years ago. It has doggie CPR in it as well.
Guest shelbygirl07
I am a pet fist aid instructor. Definitely take the pet first aid class. There is a book you can get at most large chain book stores that is also sold by the Red Cross for $12. But nothing is better than hands on training. The class fee is $25 here in Mass. They teach you the Heimlich maneuver, CPR, First Aid and Disaster Response... Edited January 16, 2008 by shelbygirl07
Charla
There are some good online sources too but I couldn't post the links for some reason. Google Dog CPR and you will find some PDF formatted handouts on Canine CPR. Of course hands on instruction is better but if you can't do that this might be helpful Quote Charla, Mom to Carl ( Bella Monsoon ) 5/2002 - 9/2016 and remembering Gracie Rose ( Cee Bar Xtreme ) 2/2002 - 1/2014
Guest snakes
http://members.aol.com/henryhbk/acpr.html i think a course is better though, you could seriously injure a pet (or person) if its done wrong!
romansperson
I took the Red Cross class too, and they brought a CPR dummy with them for us to practice on - yep, a CPR dummy dog! They show you how to do the Heimlich on a pet, too. I used it once and it worked!
