Guest carolyn
Waggin was diagnosed with pannus in August and put on cyclosporine drops. Her eyes were looking better - they still have cloudy spots but the white part of her eye wasn't red and inflamed. A few weeks ago, I started to notice her left eye getting red more frequently. We haven't changed her dosage of eye drops. Has anyone had an experience with this? Can dogs develop a resistance to cyclosporine? We're now giving her 2 drops a day in the red eye to try to get it under control before her general vet appointment in Feb. I hate to spend $100 on a eye dr visit unless it's absolutely necessary. Burpdog
I suppose anything is possible. I'd go to the eye specialist Quote Diane & The Senior Gang Burpdog Biscuits
Guest Speedhoundz
Can you just call your vet and explain the situation to get some over-the-phone advice?
Greytlady94
I would take him to an eye specialist, an opthamologist. Chicocat
I would probably have her rechecked. A friend of mine has a grey that has been on cyclosporine for several years without problems. Quote Ann
Guest ss556
All I know is that whatever meds Alan was put on for his pannus, his third eyelid is always red and the whites of his eyes get red often. He has high blood pressure too, though.
