Good News!

Our almost-three year old dog, Humphrey, broke his leg 10 1/2 weeks ago. It was a nasty, open fracture, and he had to have an external fixator and 8 pins (we called it his scaffolding, once we got over the shock!) I posted about it on the forum here and received so much good advice, and comfort - it helped so much as we were scared to death and really worried.

Well, it wasn't exactly uneventful healing, but heal he has and today he had his scaffolding all removed! He has almost full range of movement and should be absolutely fine once his "holes" heal up! He's pretty out of it at the moment, but once he's a bit more himself I'll post a pic of his newly emerged leg :)

Thank you Greytalkers for all your help and advice!

Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.
