Guest weisster
I've used a rubber curry and a steel blade to remove the dead fur. There is no end. Is there something else I should be doing??? Diet, new vacuum cleaner??
Guest meandmygreys
It will never stop !! These non shedding dogs *grins* do shed...fortunately not as bad as some other breeds.. I vacume all the time ..bought a bagless vac so I don't spend a fortune in sweeper bags...diet may help and maybe a little vegetable oil for the dry skin..what are you feeding ? Did you just get your dog ?? Is he blowing his kennel coat..?? I had a white greyhound years ago..he had "bunny hair "..talk about shed !! I sang " It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" Everytime I vacumed.. Edited July 6, 2007 by meandmygreys
Guest jsk4x
It may not stop, but it will slow down if he's shedding his undercoat. Chewie hardly shed at all until about three-four weeks ago. It's been non-stop fur since then, enough for a couple more dogs. Then, suddenly and miraculously, he literally stopped shedding overnight. We had just bought a Roomba to do daily vacuuming! Weird dog. If you're worried, you could try fish oil supplements.
NeylasMom
I just posted about this the other day. You might find some helpful (and humorous) responses here. Guest weisster
Thanks...read your thread. I'm not alone and I'm doing everything right. Darrel has been with me 3.5 years...so it's not kennel coat. I guess dogs shed!

Guest BigPercyInMa
Compared to our Collie and Lab, our Greyhound doesn't shed much at all. Brushing often sure helps us a lot!
