I am sorry Buddy was not feeling it, but glad to hear he has rallied a bit. This up and down is so hard, you don’t know which is “normal”. You have not given up on Buddy, you are just trying to do what is best for him. You know him better than anyone. I hope this is a turn around and he continues to improve Plan to have a frank talk with the vet on Tuesday, and I hope he says things are getting better.
I agree with Jan: This is perfectly said.
that Buddy is turning a corner.

Baknforfing for Willa.

What a pair! They're both far more interested in getting attention from the human than they are in their own or each other's comfort.
In the first couple of pics, Banjo looks hard-done-by, but he gets his own back later.
I _love_ the direct look on Casey's face in the second pic.
They're adorkable.

Embarrassing? She doesn't look the least bit embarrassed.
That's why she's I'm Embarrassing not I'm Embarrassed.

Once she gets going you don’t even notice the missing leg!
That's exactly what I thought. She looks like she's working with a full complement. Go Willa!

She's getting a gentle scratch. She chose well.

We discovered an unexpected bonus when Buddy lost a couple of teeth - his ball keeps falling out of his mouth, which gives him more opportunity to hunt it as it he often kicks it away as it drops.
And the human saves effort as well.

Doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable, AnnIE.

Go AnnIE!
Toodles says teefers are for wimps. She has 6 (4 canines plus two upper incisors) and can eat hard biscuits.

she is somewhat of a Sun City Celebrity.

Whew. I'm glad everything went okay and she didn't lose too many toofers. I hope she's now resting comfortably drugged at home.
I know what you mean about numbers. I'm down to two dogs for the first time since 2005. When Daisy is at the groomers, I'm at one for the first time since 1999. It's very strange.

AnnIE. Will definitely be baknforfing until you post an update.

Chris gets in the floor to do her daily puzzles on the IPad. Gracie helps.
Helps by blocking the light glare on the screen?

I've done sub-q fluids at home for several dogs and a few cats. It seems to make them feel better and probably helped them survive longer.
-
Gracie must have been upset by the sad loss and the move, but now she knows she's landed in greyhound heaven-on-earth. Congratulations to all.
So, Chris, are you happy with the snuggling when you're trying to use your computer?

Such lovely girls.
AnnIE can rest _anywhere_ even when standing.

Oh, there are many! I keep them in the spare bedroom and her favorite thing to do is move them all back to the living room.
Playful _and_ a collector.

Great news!

Wiki!
Broodies know how to par-tay! I've had several, and every single one partied until she was too frail ... or even then, but more carefully.

Those floor tiles look so much more comfortable than your average floor tile. I can see why AnnIE would want to stretch out on them.
Even if they were knot unusually comfortable, AnnIE would stretch out.

I too love the purple needles. And the post-treatment snooze.
I haven't tried acupuncture on any of my animals (and it didn't do anything for me), but laser treatments seem to be helpful. I suspect the results of many alternative therapies are dependent on the skills of the person administering them.

The only response to the remark ‘they look funny’ is ‘YOU look funny!’ before walking away, pretending to cry. She would have been mortified and you might have got some cake delivered to your door as an apology
Perfect!

Glad it's over and the actual procedure didn't take long. Fingers crossed for good results.
AnnIE is just keeping things calm.

Since they have the US working on her already, see if they can do a quick shot of her kidneys/bladder just to see if there is anything big that jumps out at them immediately. If they see something suspicious, you can do a more in depth US later on if warranted, or rule things out if it's normal.
Yes, this is another big benefit of a US guided cysto.
ETA: Toodles has had issues with _very_ stubborn UTIs that required long courses of abx, even when we knew we had the right one. The symptoms would go away for a while, then reappear. Sometimes the only sign was more drinking and peeing. As she ages, it becomes harder to tell whether the main culprit is food, kidneys, cognitive issues, SA, bacteria, or age. She also leaks, or rather, she did. Proin bothered her gut so she's on Stilbestrol.

Keep eating Buddy. Please. Gas and gurgling are easier to deal with than not eating.
