I feel for you and your DH, and for Timber. We have had to let three of our greys go to the bridge....it is a gut wrenching choice. I truly believe they will let you know..as you have already said Timber has let you know. Having said that, I would search high and low for a place that would come to your home. We did not have that option, and I think it stressed the dogs out even more. You are a greyt momma to Timber. Peace and love to you, your DH and Timber.

There is so much advice here to consider. First let me pass on some hugs to you and your pup. I have had two pups with osteosarcoma, unfortunately it was found after it had spread. In both cases, if it was found before it would have spread...by all means, I would have spent every dime to get the surgery. More factors come into play though, such as quality of life, is she in awesome health, her attitude etc....

Run free Mahogany....the love you have felt in your life will carry on in a land of endless treats, ear scratches, new stuffies and soft fluffy beds.

I completely agree, it is like you are one soul...that is why I think that they can let you know when it is "time". When Baby was sick, I felt like he wanted to be with me as much as I wanted to be with him.
