Poor baby, hope she is better soon.

Definitely worth a vet visit, and I would ask for a skin scarping to see what it shows.

We do every six months.
I have my vet do the intranasal instead of the shot.

I'm so sorry.

Red gums are probably due to gingivitis and would indicate that they need dental care. Bright red gums can be a sign the dog is overheated.

We do every six months.

Pannus is very treatable, my Molly was treated for Pannus for several years and it never got any worse with daily treatment. I agree with taking your pup to a doggy opthamologist, they have all the tools that a people eye doctor has, and they are very specialized.

I am so sorry.

My heart girl Molly had a nerve sheath tumor removed which came back one year later. We had it removed again. It was a few months after the second surgery when we lost her.
Edited to add, Molly was almost 13 when we had to let her go.

ok...now I'm curous. Why do so many of you use heartworm preventative during the winter?? I have always started mine on it early spring before the misquitoes really come out and continue untill it gets really cold / hard freeze... What gives?
We are in a sub-tropical climate so it is necessary.

CDS Click on linky and scroll down to "my holistic approach" to CDS and "our answer".
It is an interesting article.

Absolutely yes... every month on the heartworm preventative.
On flea/tick... only when I board them. The way are home and yard is set up we have never had a flea or a tick here.

Blood work and chemistry....I wonder if he ate something poisonous? That sounds like liver or kidney failure/issues......
This was my first thought upon reading the post. They need to insist that a full comprehensive blood panel is done and a urinalysis.
If they are in Lexington they are about 4 hours from Ohio State University. If this was my dog I would head there right now......
