Edited to add bridge kids:
Casey very little known about him, he raced until age 4, probably in Texas, he was what our group referred to as "green eared dogs" as at the time the place where he came from would obliterate the tattoos before the Greys were given to adoption group, so we had no info on him, not even racing name, whelp date etc. Casey was a red brindle male, the perfect Grey, and our first. We lost Casey to cancer when he was 8.
Charlie Charlie Cole 1992 blue brindle Alabama & ? Charlie came to Houston when a track in Alabama closed. Charlie was lost to bone cancer at the age of 6.
Does anyone know where "MH" is?

Just wanted to put this back at top.

Greydad, could this thread be "pinned"? I just thought there are probably others like me that would love to do this as soon as they get a chance. Thank you.

Since they are already adult dogs they won't bond with you like a puppy would.
Wrong, Greyhounds will bond very closely with their person or family. Think about it, they are accustomed to living is a kennel with several turn-outs a day, and a race a couple times a week.
You are going to take him/her home and lavish him with love, attention, toys, a soft bed, a house or apartment to live in, lots of good food & treats. He will likely bond with you more strongly then any dog you have ever had.

:0 Bruising is bleeding under the skin, so I would keep an eye on it, and if it gets worse or happens again, I would check with vet.
