    Greytalk Business Cards!

    In the recent past we have shipped about 1000 business cards, most to Adoption Groups, event organizers, and to some of our top supporters as a trial. We would like to offer Business Cards to everyone to help promote Greytalk.

     

    Many people have asked for them, now they are available!

     

    We will ship envelopes of 50 cards to anyone who requests them. (If you need more than 50, send me a PM)

     

    We would like to offer the cards for free to our members but unfortunately the mailing costs would be outrageous. As an example if 2000 members requested the cards, our shipping costs alone would be in excess of $1200, for this reason we ask for a small fee. ($1.50 within the United States : $1.75 to Canada : $2.50 to the United Kingdom) this will cover the costs. This amount covers our shipping charges and PayPal usage fees. We are sorry about the small fee, but it is a necessity.

    If you do not have a PayPal account, send me a PM and I will give you an address which you can send a self addressed stamped envelope that I will fill. (1 stamp is good for 25 cards, 2 stamps are good for 50 cards.)

    Homemade Pedialyte

    Pedialyte

    • 1/2 tsp tablesalt
    • 1/4 tsp salt substitue
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 2 tbsp sugar
    1) Mix everything w/ 1 liter boiling water. 2) Feed 1 ltr to supplement the regular nutrition of a child, 6 months or older, w/ severe diarrhea. (I think you could add an unsweetened packet of Kool-Aid to this for flavor.)

    Keep messages concise, clear, and polite.

    Don't get upset about message received, particularly mistakes made by beginners.

     

    NEVER send a message while angry or upset. Sending messages that attack or are abusive is known as flaming. However, disagreeing with someone is *not* the same thing as flaming.

     

    To use a patently absurd example, someone might post:

    “I like to dress my children in green clothes,” and someone else may write in saying, “I never dressed my kids in green because I don't like that color.” Someone else may respond, “I have read warnings that dressing children in green is dangerous; they could be mistaken for grass and eaten by cows.”

     

    None of the responses above are flames. Flaming is a personal attack, for instance, someone writing: “You are the worst mother in the world because you dressed your children in green.”

    phpbb is not as feature rich as IPB, I will not move to that platform, many of their users are also moving to IPB.

     

    All the current CMS options (phpnuke, post-nuke, xoops, etc) are all pretty much insecure and resource hogs. I would like to implement a CMS in the future, IPB should have one our before long and it will integrate with the forum well.
