Not raining yet
Sorry about the washer
Hmmmm. Sparkle City!? Who new?! Prescott is actually closer to the river.
A friend gave Pap an almost new air fryer last year. He used it once and packed it away. Took up a lot of room on the counter.
Halise is sitting on some friends
EEK! More mice The reason Every. Single. Pillow. at the Inn needed to be washed was because of mice.

EEK Miss Patsy. A very beeg spider is much, much worse than a few very dead baby mice. Much worse.
Oh! Lukit all those purkle pansies.... Hmmmm......
And there's Candy! Hubba Hubba!
Lucy Good for you!
I got the form for the parking permit I just have to take into the licensing place to get the permit
I used to be an avid runner. And swimmer. And yes...I did two small triathlons. A very long time ago, back in the late 80's in Ogdensburg, NY. Still have the medals
The painters came and laid out their drop cloths and put plastic sheeting over everything in the 2 small bedrooms. Patched a few nail/screw holes, scraped flaking paint. I had to move some of it to get to my little TV and computer and the dog beds but it'll be easy to place it all back in the morning. They'll sand and start the priming and hopefully one coat tomorrow.
Tomorrow I will start the desk training for a couple of new gals at the Inn. they actually show up.

Rainy 10C
Sammy I sure hope Fruitcake still managed to get a ride on Leo!
September is hotter than July or August in Florida? Who knew?!
I’ll be off to the Inn after my Doc appointment for the handicapped parking permit. The new Desk people start tomorrow and I have some organizing to do for them. The SheetShack is in good hands with Sue my assistant. She’s almost done washing all the pillows.
Ah yes! Wisteria is a most excellent name for the Purkle Schwinn

Nice new wheels Charlie! A new house too! Of course your MommaBear always knows the right thing to do

What is 'Wawa'? Besides a town in Northern Ontario?
I only watch Vera Stanhope on BritBox so I'm usually a season or two behind. Same with the Midwives.
The purkle bike is parked in my little garage. I oiled the chains and have yet to decide on her name. Any suggestions?
Our inaugural ride will be down to the Inn maybe on Wednesday...I think it'll take me about 20 minutes. I can walk there in 35. Well. When I used to be able to walk there....
The skin kid came out and helped shove furniture around in anticipation of the bedroom painters arrival tomorrow. They say it will take them 3-4 days. Poor Kibo is knot at all happy about the change. The bedroom dog beds are knot in the same place at all Sid is fine as long as he is beside me so I put one right here by the office desk and I'll move it in the morning. Joshi is usually just flopped out on the neked floor.

Cloudy and storms are in the forecast
Hmmmm….hope all is well with Andi. Mayhaps she had issues getting on GT too.
Yes..Patty is making great progress now. It always takes a long time to untrain what others have taught them before teaching them the correct things. Patty was started quickly, as she was a re-sell project after being rescued. And that person is a most excellent rider but rides in a ‘cranked in’ ‘shortened’ frame which, sadly, seems to be the way of modern dressage. I want relaxed, stretchy, reaching ‘out-to-the-bit’ with long steps. Her hind end conformation (straight) also leads to tight hamstrings which affects the canter, but slow and steady, building up her muscle has proven to be the right thing to do. We are lucky to have CoachKate - she is an excellent ‘eyes on the ground’ person.
I’m off to the SheetShack to run two of our beeg comforters through the beeg washers and dryers before I go ride.
And stuff my bike into the back of the car

Miss HaliseMine is a Stihl.
If you go over to ‘Off Topic’ there is a post from yesterday about tools and I posted there with a photo of what I have. I love it!

Oh Ducky Rest will come when you're more used to the new normal
Sorry about your playgroup friends, Ivy
Piggy and his friends are on the move again. Have fun!
Glad NooCarols storms were averted. Hope the same for todays.
My bicycle is purkle! And I bought a purkle and yellow helmet. And some grease for the chains. I'll bring it home tomorrow. I think it has 21 gears and I'm knot sure if they all work But I am knot going in any races or very far. I had a really nice 10 speed many, many years ago when I was much younger and did a cuppla low-level triathlons.
PattyKake was a super girl this morning and my legs were pretty good too. She is getting so much stronger and we can almost keep up with the same lesson exercises the 2 more experienced horses are doing. We used to do a modified version of what they were doing, but now we do the same Just knot as many reps because I have to stop and rest.

Heading into a cuppla rainy days Supposed to get up to 20C
Sure hope those nasty storms stay away from NooCarol.
Awwww Fancy
Have fun Ivy
One of my barn friends brought me a bicycle! It fits me very well and I rode it round’n’round out there and my legs did knot go wonky or numb so I’ll bring it home tomorrow

Yes Ducky... you gave Rita the best life ever.
For such a small girl, I am sure she has left a huge hole in your heart.

Oh dear, Sherrie
Chris. Jeepers. Enuff is enuff!
Hmmmm Charlie. Congratson the new houndmobile. What kind is it? We need I don’t know anything about ramps or stairs for loading. My guys are still able to jump up. Sid -10 - is a bit more cautious but can still get in.
I had a few - only a few - salty werds for the Manager this morning and I believe that he has now come to his senses.
Sigh. Middle aged men. Sigh. Although Pap - who is long past middle aged - has finally cleaned 2 of the 4 bedroom windows and took down some blinds and ran them thru the shower. I have loaded my car with stuff for goodwill.
I’m heading off to deliver a couple of hoss blankets I repaired for a friend, pick up some grain for the home ponies and then ride Patty quietly on my own before the teenager kidlets arrive after school.

Frosty and foggy 0C
Continued to Ducky et al.
Lots of brotherly visits in the club this week.
I have 2 younger bros. Middle one and I are pretty close and his wife is awesome. They live 2+ hours away and we get together for lunch 2/3 times a year. Baby bro I have not seen since Moms funeral. His wife is knot friendly to us and very controlling. He lives in the same town as his brother and even works at the same firm and they barely communicate. At my aunties funeral last fall they chose to sit all by their ownselves and when it came time for the actual burial they just went home, even though the grave was right beside our parents/grandparents and they probably had not been there in 2+ years.
I’m off to the Inn to have a chat with the manager. He’s done a couple of weird things this week ….
-
Rita and Ducky are still in my thoughts. Hoping for a decent weekend
Nancy...I'm so glad you've gone to visit your brother after such a long time apart. I hope he feels well enough to enjoy you company and reminiscing

Brrrrrrrr Minus 2C and ice on the water trough
Oh! There’s Patsy! Glad your weather has taken an upswing
Awwww Lupin. Those little rubber booties are hard to get on and off. Especially in the dark. I’m sure your Mummy has learned her lesson
We have lots of rabbits here. None have made their way into the dog yard yet this year. Joshi is obsessed with the birds trying to nest in the huge cedar trees along the fence line. Thankfully they’re very high up and she she can’t reach them.
I’m off to the Inn. Where I hope the water lines are knot frozen The gals are making good headway on the cabins. I’m going to work on the desk and lobby.
Then Sid has his elementary reading kidlets this afternoon.

Floofy Poopie
House of Duck is getting back to normal
Angus house is still under construction And that is an awesome meme
We're still in winter mode here, too, Wiki. Going down below freezing here overnight but at least the sun finally came out today.
Nobody does any gardening up here until nearly the end of May. The skin kid came and cut the front yard and the dog yard yesterday. And dragged my kayak out of the beeg shed
We're getting stuff organized and cleaned out for the beeg three bedrooms painting job that is supposed to start on Monday. Well. I am getting organized and cleaning. Pap..Knot so much.

Lovely spring photos, Andi. Your deck looks greyt.
Lukit Ducky in her headband
Mistress needs a little battery chainsaw like mine!
The Sheet Shack is mostly organized and the girls got 2 of the beeg log cabins pritty much done today. I probably won't go back until Thursday.
Pap got his blood checked this morning but did knot get the results.
We'll be Back'n'Forth for Fancy in the morning
-
Cccchilly 0C At least the sun is shining.
Glad everyone had a safe drive home from GIG.
Fancy..please let us know when FRuitcake is taking you to the Vet. We are worried…
I’m off to the SheetShack. The girls will get their van organized and start cleaning all the cabins. I’ll give them a hand, going around pulling the ‘cover-ups’ off all the furniture. Then I’ll work over in the Inn sorting comforters and blankets - they’re all laid out on the dining room tables - and maybe clean the front desk.
-
Love that peenk Llama
Brrrrr..... it is ccchilly here, too. No hail or snow or rain today. Just cloudy and cold winds and I sat bundled up in 2 coats plus Widgets wool cooler all day watching the jumping lessons. Widget and his buddy Buzz got to do their rides indoors. And I rode Patty - indoors - during the lunch break
-
Dull, dreary and cold.
What’s the point of a costume if nobody ‘gets it’
Oh! Elizabeth is home already. That was a short trip.
I’m headed back to watch all the barn peeps ride with the clinician again today. Yesterday was a bit blustery and cold with some rain and hail and snow but they all toughed it out. Today looks to be about the same weather. Sigh. Thankfully Widget and his little buddy Buzz rode indoors.

Good knot crack of dawn! And we have sunshine
I am still alive. Managing OK with toast and water and flat ginger ale. Hmmm…Pedialite. That would require a trip to the store.
I have made but don’t actually know if I want to try it… I’m so glad that I’m home and knot off on vacation. Nothing like your own bed
I did drive out to see TheWidge & Patty last evening. One of the young ladies rode Patty and another will ride her tonight.
Widge is getting his fetlock injected today. I may or may not go. It’s a simple procedure and Coach Kate and Amanda are perfect capable of holding him and getting him settled after. He’ll need stall rest today and no riding until Monday.
Off to do wordless before my friends think I’ve perished…
