We send tick titers to Protatek Labs. They're in Chandler, AZ. Phone 480-545-8499. They do a lot of testing for Greys.

More prayers for sweet Canyon. I hope the increased dose of Gabapentin gives him more comfort.

Glad to hear the good news. Have fun.

So glad it appears to be trauma - that will heal. You sure don't need anything else to deal with.
Great news about the weight. Keep it up, Beau.

Thanks for your advice. WE're going to treat. I'm waiting for my vet to call me back about getting the Doxycycline.

I have a short term foster here. She's just supposed to be here to be vetted before she goes to her foster (and probably her forever) home. We sent tick titers to Protatec, and everything came back negative except for ehrlichia, which came back as 1:80, or suspect. Everything I find on-line about treating ehrlichia is about treating sick dogs, and this sweet little girl (about 1 year old) is definitely not sick at this time. I'm waiting for the group to tell me what they want me to do, but meanwhile, what would you suggest? Wait and repeat titers, treat the titers even though she's not sick and her lab values are all within normal limits!
Suggestions, please, even though it won't be up to me. They may ask my input.
Thanks

I'd rather deal with the incontinence than risk the side effects and possible long term consequences of the meds.

I am very sorry for your loss. What a wonderful life you gave your beloved boy.

What a wonderful tribute to a very special girl. (I'm trying to type through my tears.) Her spirit will always be with you.

God's speed, Polli. Run with the angels while you're waiting for your Mom

He is absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations.

Another vote for an ophthalmologist. I'\t's best to start treatment right away and prevent any further growth rather than waiting for it to happen.
Of the dogs that I've known that have had Pannus, I've never known any that had any other auto immune problems.

you need to start a new poll...we've all aged since we first voted!
New poll won't change our group for those of who are 55 and up!
It Just Keeps Getting (worse) Now-better!

If it's an infection, Doxy should work on a lot of other things in addition to a possible TBD.
