  3. Typing this through a haze with a lump in my throat......what a special boy he was....... Reading your tribute to him is beautiful. So sorry for your loss. He slipped away dreaming............from this world peacefully, knowing that he was truly loved very much.
  4. Deepest Sympathy for your loss....
  5. Thinking of you and Penny......been through this ourselves...... You'll get good advice here on GT. My only suggestion is don't move your furniture around if you can help it.
  6. Baby steps as they say...........hope things start improving for you both
  7. Phew just reading this.......sending good thoughts for Beau even though it sounds like he's improving

  10. Only just reading this Holly. I can't believe I've missed it....... OMG that's terrible news! So very sorry to hear CJ has passed away, I can totally understand what your going through. I too lost my beautiful thoroughbred mare some 19 months ago but she wouldn't get up at all like she had done three times before, she was just tired and old (being 31 yrs). Thankfully I was there with her at the end, and like you cradled her head in my lap until the vet came. My heart is heavy today for your loss.

    Sweet Hurry

At least he knew love and had a real home, even if it was such a short time.......... Deepest Sympathy for the loss of your special boy
  12. What a beautiful sweetheart.......
  13. Sending well wishes and healing thoughts for Winslow...
  14. Nice of you to share your thoughts thank you............you're right there's greyt bunch of people on GT
  15. Oh I'm so sorry you're both going through this again. Because you're so in tune with him and acted fast I'm sure he will recover quicker. It's strange the way he's fine for a while and then it drastically changes........ Has he eaten any foreign object whilst out walking or in the yard like dogs do to cause a reaction? Sending hugs and well wishes....
  16. NO BUTE it's herbal has devils claw in it (costs about £15.50 1 litre bottle) lasts about two months if on the full dose or longer if on the lowest dose. You'll be amazed how much mobility it allows..... Use it on our greyhound and we used it on our old thoroughbred mare.
  17. Glad she's feeling a little better.........if the vet has a positive outlook that's something!!!!
  18. Interesting..........I'll research into Degenerative Myelopathy and hypothyroidism. Thanks for the information. Got to go to the vets with one of my hounds shortly so Ill take Snowy along too and mention about his hind legs shaking for peace of mind. And yes we do take a bed for him or he takes time out in the back of our 4 x 4. This surprises me...........I have him on a joint suppliment anyway. Muscle tiredness sounds plausable......yes, we don't stop all day since he started not enjoying them as much anymore. No he's not a nervous dog by any means, sensitive maybe...... Thanks we'll get to the bottom of it...........at the end of the day if it's his way of telling us he's had enough now we'll just leave him at home and take a kennel dog. After all he IS retired Yes I do massage his legs and walk him round slowly and gently, this does seem to help. Think I'd already made my mind up to be select with how often and where we go now, and monitor how long he stands, because he really does love meeting other greys and loves people. But I am going to mention it to my vet even if it appears I'm an over reacting Mum [which I probably am] Thanks everyone for your input.
  19. Sounds plausable..... Sending positive healing thoughts. Waiting to hear how she is......
