  1. I have 3 Victoria Peak beds and they are about 9 years old. They were the best made beds! I have one spare cover and wish I had found out Jack was closing shop and could have ordered more covers.Jack was in his late 70"s, his girlfriend had passed away suddenly and it was more than he could handle so he closed shop. It was a shame that he couldn't have passed the business on to someone. Great beds.

  2. All my greyhounds love my Kundara bed. I bought it for my first greyhound Luka when I learned the adoption group he was at uses them in their kennels.

I put a fake lamb skin cover on it along with a heavy flannel blanket and a full sized pillow. I have had the bed 12 years. A great purchase.

  3. My girl Peace developed a large , hard lump on her wrist. Screamed in pain when I bumped it. Had the biopsy done. Osteo. I gave her a few more days then set her free. My vet told me no amount of pain pills will take away the pain of osteo. And you don't want to go thru a bone break. I spoiled my girl, slept with her on the living room floor for 3 days and let her go.She was ready to be free of a body that was betraying her.

I am sorry you are going thru this. It is one of the hardest things to do, setting them free but we do it because we love them so much.

Hoping your beloved has a peaceful passing.

    Hugs.

  4. I am heartbroken for you. Please forgive yourself. It was a tragic accident. So sorry you lost your boy.

  5. Run free Sky, you took such good care of your Momma, it is time to be young again.

I am heartbroken she had to be set free but happy to hear she is doing well and will be visiting you.

It hurts so much to let them go but we bring them into our lives knowing that some day our hearts will be broken. All the wonderful days in between hopefully will give you comfort in your time of sorrow.

    Hugs to you and Bo.

  6. It is very common to second guess yourself. You gave your girl the final gift, setting her free of a body that was failing her. She was probably very scared. Waiting wouldn't change her condition , just prolong her suffering. Please know that dogs are very spirtitual and do not fear death.

I hope her memories will give you comfort in this sad time. Talk to your girl, she will hear you. Ask her to give you a sign she is OK.

I am sorry you both went thru this. I think everyone here knows the pain in your heart.

  7. Even though I registered I am afraid I won't be able to come. My 87 year old Mom fell in March and fractured her pelvis. She spent a month in a rehab place. She now has to use a walker and with her dementia she thinks she can just get up and do everything she used to do. She isn't able to comprehend and remember that she has a big fall risk. She needs to be watched all the time. I had hoped I could make the trip one last time but I can't.

I know I should be grateful she is still with us (I am) but I am still really bummed about missing this event. I will have one of my friends pick up my goody bag for me.

  8. He was your heart hound and he has a special place in your heart meant for him alone.

I know your pain. I lost my heart hound Luka (my profile photo) suddenly in January of last year. I miss him with every breath I take but I am comforted to know that Luka and I have been together for thousands of years and will always be connected. This is what he told my animal communicator. The last time I checked in with him he told me I need to move on. I adopted a new little girl 3 months after he left me. She has many of his mannerisms which makes me smile. He told me is by her side guiding her and telling her all the little things he used to do that made me smile.

You will be together again, I have no doubt. And to him it will seem like you were apart for minutes.

    Sending gentle hugs your way,

    Jan, Carter and Neko

  9. Olewo Carrots. Have used for years with great results. Nice firm poops, less gas. Helps soothe the digestive track. Order thru Amazon. If you go to Olewo USA and go to the testimonial page and look for my boy Carter. Go to Greytalk and do a search on Olewo and see How many hounds it has helped.

  10. Always a great time. The area is beautiful. And last year I was sitting in a patio area by the creek looking at my phone and I looked up and a bear cub head appears. Uh oh.Where is Momma bear? I went to find a person from the hotel. When we got back to the spot the Mommma and two cubs were walking along the parking lot of the hotel that used to be behind the Sidney James. They all climbed up the hills into the woods. Pretty cool. I have been to Mountain Hounds I think 7 times and it was my first time seeing a bear.
