Good to see she is looking better. I just remembered that she and my Garth are related. Their great great grand parents: I'm slippy and Exception are the same. They look a lot alike. hope for a speedy recovery.

Has anyone heard of petplan? I have Garth microchipped. I finally got the form confirming the chip. Anyway, then sent me an application for pet insurance wi/ the website: gopetplan.com. I have VPI and I think the premium increased 45% over last year. I checked out Pet First which seems just fine!!! But, this one looks very good too! It is underwritten by an A+ rated carrier and covers as follows: $12,000 annual vet fees (middle plan) Just thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Have you called the second vet yet??? I am interested to see what other posters say about the timing issue in terms of waiting vs. seeing another vet. Photos of the wound are critical. Glad you wrote that you and Horatio are okay. A second vet (to a new doctor) visit shouldn't be that expensive. I think I would error on the side of getting a second opinion now but I'm probably a worry wart. Garth was attacked last summer by a Shepard and he needed some stitches. (Its a long long story). Bottom line is I am not sure waiting gets you anything. We'll see what the more experienced owners say. Good luck.
