  1. Deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved girl. She was very fortunate to have so much love in the twilight of her life.
  2. In memory of Zip--Buddy's littermate--who I just found out was PTS a few weeks ago due to cancer. I have a wonderful picture of them together a couple of years ago.... Run free, Zip.
  3. Sarah, your heart must be breaking. I hope, though, that you know how lucky you were, to have such a wonderful friend. And she was lucky to have you as well. Your mutual love for one another makes the loss that much harder---but I certainly understand how you can't let such a wonderful friend suffer. I went through the same with my heart kitty. Just remember her with love, and know how blessed you were to have her. Some people NEVER have such a friend. I think everyone on GT loved Ailish, even though we never met her.
  4. Buddy barks at other dogs (not greyhounds). Ruby barks mostly when something scares her--she's my chicken. The doorbell will make her bark, as well as "bad noises". Rascal doesn't bark much, sometimes to get DH to play, but mostly in response to one of the others barking.
  5. My deepest sympathies to you on your loss....
  6. I voted "yes, they were removed". We have three dogs, and only one dewclaw--and a distorted one at that. The vet says it looks like they tried to removed it and "botched it up". It's already been snagged/pulled off/dangling three times in two years; the vet was supposed to remove it during Buddy's dental a year ago, but forgot. Rascal and Ruby are dewclawless, thank heavens!
  7. Deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear, dear friend.
  8. Condolences to Suzi's family--God bless you for loving her and caring for her for so long! Every dog should be so fortunate.... I hope to have mine that long!
  9. To the whole Mackey family: My sincerest condolences. I read of Roo's passing two days ago, and at the time I couldn't even stay at the computer, I was crying and so upset for you. This was the night before I took my girl, Rascal, to have a lump removed from her side. I am picking her up at noon today but we still don't know what the lump is. We are praying for scar tissue or benign tumor. I cannot imagine losing one of my beloved dogs, my heart goes out to you. I have only lost kitties, as the greys are my first dogs. Please know that you will remain in my thoughts and prayers. And give Shawna extra hugs--it will help both of you!
  10. OMG--this is so funny! Not only that you (we) sometimes do these things, but that we ADMIT it! Yeah, Buddy has "olives" sometimes too. And my DH thinks the doggies paws smell like Doritos, DS says Fritos. I say, as long as they haven't stepped in anything unsavory, they're OK!
