Ducky, I'm glad you got a youngster. Give your heart a break. Is he coming to GIG?
-
I love my 4Runner. I fit 4 greys with the back seats down.
-
We went last year. The 2 day drive was too much for my little Bada. Dr prescribed trazadone for the short 3 hr drive to GIG.

As I understand it, dogs don't remember dates very well. It's when you forget their dinner that you're in big trouble.
Got that right!
Happy birthday Adam.

The Eisenhower, while not the nicest hotel, is convenient and I was able to still get the GIG discount last week. I do like the fact that I can park the car and just walk to the events.
It'll be good to see you again.

Unless you've seen him 24/7 he could have slipped on the floor. Not necessarily fallen but slipped enough to have given him a fright. Besides rugs, I believe there is a product you can put on their feet to make them stickier. Maybe that might help.

I think I'll be there. After all I need to buy stuff for my new Irish lass, Snowflake.

If you're in doubt, how about getting titres done. Then if he is low on something, you just need to get that one.
If his teeth are in good shape you can can try Houndstooth non anesthetic dental. I thinks she's at GIG this year. It's not as good as a full dental but I use it as a 6 month cleaning. It might be enough for him.

You might want to get her thyroid tested. Low thyroid causes dry itchy skin.

Did you vets use Amicar? Some greyhounds seem to have bleeding issues.

I thought I might be ready to leave a remembrance. Nope. Maybe next month.
I've never been able to write something for Tanzi, CC and Emma.

Yup, torn muscle. My Diamond had it.

Thank you all.
We’ll ask the vet about an ultrasound and galliprant. And perhaps look into getting a second opinion from Dr Couto once we have other results back.
Sorry you went through it with your girl too. I’m beginning home cooking her food today. The nausea makes sense as sometimes she looks at her food and almost seems to gag! She still has some appetite though - she’s eating her breakfast as I type.
Fingers crossed we can get her sorted and see some improvement or at least stabilisation now she’s off the metacam.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
There are a lot of meds to help with the nausea and appetite. Don't hesitate to use them.

I had a girl rescued from the China Canidrome. They ruined her kidneys.
I'm sorry to say I only got 18 months with her, she passed at age 6.
I cooked a kidneys diet for her. Heavy on the rice or macaroni, and veggies. Then chicken or beef. To make it more palatable I cooked the meat, then added water to the pot and cooked the carbs.
Kidney disease makes them nauseous. When all the appetite stimulants can't get them to eat, that's when you say goodbye.
I'm sorry.

I'm so sorry to hear about Toffee.

Oh Ducky, what a horrible few months you're having.
-
That's a good idea. My girls love tapioca.

You're welcome.

I hope this was an uneventful SS this year.
If anyone did not receive their gift, or at least heard if it was delayed.or was not thanked! Please PM me.
Merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah.

Happy hanukkah!

I heard about "the rabbit" . But wasn't that Gelsey?

Jackpot!
Timing couldn't be better. Bada got pj's. She's wearing them now. The toy and cookies were a huge hit too. They'll be travelling down to my sister's tomorrow with us. And since that's Maryland it's still pretty cold there too.
I think I did even better than Bada with a case of canning jars! Ellen, you know me so well. Rounded out with a Mexican chocolate sampler.
Thank you so much!

OMG! Bubbles scored big time. (And so did I!)
From chocolates for me, cookies for the dogs, other treats and socks for me and a lamb stuffy for Bubbles...and a gorgeous tree ornament!
Thank you so very much Carol.

It happened to my 15 year old. I attributed it to maybe being on her back at some time and her age.
