Manny the Magnificent, I’m charged to be the elf

To find what type of things you like,

So I’ve jumped down from the shelf

With pen in hand and bated breath

Your hates and needs to hear

‘Cos Santa’s flight will soon take place,

And the day is drawing near.

 

Do you like tasty treats to eat,

Or toys to squeak all day,

Or are there other things you crave

To tempt you out to play?

I need to know, sweet Manny,

Please tell me very soon

So Santa’s sleigh can cross the sky

Beneath that silvery moon.

 

Your Mum is named Rebecca,

Will she eat sweetmeats nice,

Or does she long for savoury foods

That have a tang of spice?

What gets her up off of her chair,

Does she go out for a walk

Or does she sit with phone to ear,

With greyhound friends to talk?

 

For answers to my questions

Upon my knees I plead,

Else I’ll wear holes in my green tights

And then I’ll start to sneeze!

with Manny and Rebecca’s wishes,
