philospher77
I found this a very thoughtful article. It gives a different view of training and disobedience. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! http://www.onetail.org/ask-a-trainer/march-ask-a-trainer-disobedience/ Quote My blog about helping Katie learn to be a more normal dog: http://katies-journey-philospher77.blogspot.com/

Roo
That's a fantastic article, and I learned a lot. I've always favored positive reinforcement anyway, but having the perspective switched from the dog's behavior to the human's clears up a few things I was having trouble working out. Can't wait to apply this to training at the shelter. Quote Mom of bridge babies Regis and Dusty. Wrote a book about shelter dogs! I sell things on Etsy! Fruitycake
I think a lot of dominance theory trainers should read this.
Guest Lillypad
Thanks very much for posting!!!! It reminded me to remember to reward behaviors that she has mastered. I have grown complacent and taken her "basic obedience" for granted... have no fear Lilly, treats are on the way.
