Scooby172
I play in a few golf leagues, Jack goes to doggie day care on my long work/league days. Well, he came home with a GI bug, diarrhea. Jack, being the young dog that he is was not that bothered by this minor interruption in his day. Luckily, he got over it quickly and is pretty much back to normal today. But, my grey/whippet mix, Keeva who is 10 now has it and is much more bothered by it. She has had watery diarrhea, some vomiting and is just off. I am fasting her today, have pedialyte for the water dish and got plain chicken as well as ground beef to slowly re introduce her back to food. Also have rice, pumpkin and yogurt on hand. Jack is back to eating his kibble but I don't want to push Keeva too soon. She is drinking and is interested in food I just want to give her stomach a rest. I am thinking I will feed her some chicken and rice tomorrow morning with a bit of yogurt to see how she does. Anything else I should do? Thanks for any input. Time4ANap
Sounds like you have it well covered. Don't let her dehydrate. If she won't drink, try some broth in the water. Scooby172
Broth did the trick, thanks. Jack is totally back to normal and Keeva is much, much better! It was a nasty virus. Linda, Jack and Keeva
