lovemycoffee
My boy Freckles had his 2 lower canines extracted on Thursday (They got broken in a fight). He's been fine until this morning. He's bleeding from the extraction site on one side. Is there anything I can do to stop the bleeding, or do I need to take him to the e-vet? Thanks. TheFullHouse
Try packing the area where the tooth was removed with cotton or something like that. It should stop the bleeding, if it doesn't and it's bleeding badly I'd go to the e-vet. You'll have to hold it in place for several minutes if he'll let you. TheFullHouse
Be careful, if he protests don't risk getting bitten. heartdogs
You might want to talk to your vet in the AM as the dog may need some vitamin K. Not very exoensive & it sure helps with the healing.
