Not Eating

I need help, my greyhound Misty has been a problem with food, since I got her. I finally got her a food she has been eating and liking

As of two days, she has stopped eating and eating grass, oh and her belly is growling. Her poop is good. Do I take to vet or

let her work it out herself?

From what you have described I would definitely take her to the vet. A rumbling tummy means she isn't feeling too good and she is eating grass to try to make it better.

Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.

I'ld have checked out for worms of GI infection. She may just need the bland diet. My senior Ava has become really hard to feed but after much research and trying different add ins, we finally found her "magic mix" that keeps her eating in her old age. Hopefully it will pass soon and all will be ok.

Some Greyhounds have very delicate digestive systems. My hounds were that way. Often tehy had those growly stomachs and didn't eat for a day or two. At the moment I wouldn't worry...lt her work it out herself...she'll be fine.

Could be worms, as someone has already suggested. I've had Doc exhibit similar symptoms and that was what it turned out to be.

I agree a trip to the vet maybe what you need especially if she is new to you.

It could be any of the things mentioned or she may be having some trouble adjusting.

After a while you will know if she is just sensitive or she is really ill.

I have a very picky girl.

Some days, she just doesnt care if she eats or not and i feel like Im dealing with a toddler.lol

I can be a little obsesed with her eating habits and run around offering her favoit things.

Im sure that will curl the hair of a few die hard feeders here, but it is what it is here..lol

good luck,

hope she is well.
