How To Obtain Past Medical Records?

I apologize if this has been already covered and I missed it. My Allstun is a relatively young dog, born Jan. 31, 2008 in the USA. He ran six races before going up for adoption.

How could I obtain his past medical history? I know that he was owned by W.H. O'Donnell, but have no idea how to proceed. I don't suspect anything medically wrong, I'm just curious.

Thanks for your advice!

First choice is to contact the adoption group you adopted him from. He will probably only have a health record starting with his neuter unless he had an injury. If he didn't come thru an adoption group, where was he neutered?? That's about it.

The greyhound database says he was adopted thru Race the Wind, so contact them if they had him neutered.

Thanks so much for your response. Allstun was neutered here in Springfield, where I adopted him from Greyhound Pets of America-Missouri. They do a lot of work with Race the Wind. I have his medical records from the vet who neutered him and did his dental, etc. I guess I thought that racers would have a medical history somewhere. I'll ask the GPAMO folks the next time I see them.

You have all his medical records then. He looks like a sweetie.

There really shouldn't be a lot of medical history in a dog that young who really BARELY raced.

Typically, kennels do their own vaccines, worming, minor wound and injury care.
