Leg Shaking/ No Support

Recommended Posts

Yesterday after work I took Bella outside for a pee and about 2 minutes into walking around the yard, her back legs started to shake pretty bad, and she started to sort of sit, almost like falling down. I quickly lifted her onto the steps of our patio and back into the house, the moment she walked in she was fine...trotted perfectly to her bed. I'm thinking perhaps it was due to the cold? It was about -12 degrees here in Ontario, but she was wearing a double fleece layer coat. Ideas/ thoughts? She's perfectly fine now, and did her business outside this morning with no issues.

It's been hovering near -30 here recently. Cy does almost the same thing due to the cold. Back legs shivering.. trying to get his paws off the snow.. etc..

Maybe her feet were cold? Could you try boots and see if that helps? Or leg warmers? I use my own arm warmers on Summit sometimes, but planning on trying to have some made (or make my own... hand sewn) so they stay on better. I've just been using elastics to keep them on.
