Powdered Fiber

Certainly. I was told to add 1/8 t. of metamucil (for Jack) with each meal. That, along with a food change, firmed up his poop. I have since eliminated the metamucil and all is well!

My vet personally prefers the psyllium husk/Metamucil type over the Benefiber types. She just feels it works better. I use it for the cat to (try and) prevent hairballs and once a day for the Iggy just because she doesn't really like to eat as much kibble as she should.

I am hoping to fill her without adding food. Since kona died she went a little wacky. She now eats just about anything she can get...sheets, toys, mail, etc. From the day we got her food has been a thing with her, but objects were safe. Not so much anymore!. Hopefully this will help. Thanks!
