Guest loticiadelicia
Hello everybody, I am new here but I have been a greyhound mother for the past 6> I am desperate and I need help. My girl woke up last Friday unable to walk. We took her to the vet and after a HUGE bill they said that she has a MILD herniation on c7, got prednasol and that was it. Saturday we took her to another doctor and she thinks it was a stroke, anyway she suggested TLC and time and some therapy here at home. I do not know what to do anymore, my heart is broken since she is not walking Does anybody know of anything to help her heal faster??? RobinM
Unfortunately, large problems = large bills. I think you need to have an MRI to dertermine what exactly is going on. What types of tests has she had? Is she on something other than prednesone (Is that what you meant)? I would think she is uncomfortable. How is she able to urinate/poop and where? What is her quality of life? How old is she? LuvAPuppy
Bumping just in case the OP returns I know there are a lot of posters who have stroke and FCE knowledge that apparently haven't seen this yet Quote Angie, Pewter, and Storm-puppy Forever missing Misty-Mousie (9/9/99 - 10/5/15)Fort Wayne, Indiana
Batmom
Not a lot of advice, just good wishes. If it's an FCE or stroke, sometimes pupper will improve with time. Hope that is the case with your dog.
