Mercedes had her bandage changed last night - she is healing well but had a slight bit of infection so she is now on antibiotics for a week. She did very well while the vet cleaned up the incision and rewrapped it - she really has been a trouper. There is a big void on her paw without that toe, though!! The results from the biopsy are not back yet - waiting patiently :crazy - NOT <_< !! She will get her stitches out next Monday - meanwhile we wait :unsure

Mercedes was supposed to get her stitches out tonight but the wound is still a bit sore so we're waiting until Friday. She still has a bit of oozing with the bandage on so we're trying it without the full bandage and instead are taping a cotton baby bootie to her ankle so it can breathe more. We're going to clean it with saline twice day and dry it good. She's still on the antibiotics too. Hopefully by Friday it will be healed enough to remove the stitches. She's walking on it without much problem. We're still waiting for the biopsy results. More later when we know more.
