Guest weisster Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Poor Darrel. Six months after he came to my home he developed a corn. He could not walk on cement without limping. All walks took place on grass. He was operated on, but still a corn. I brought him to the vet every 3 weeks to have it hulled...still a corn. Well, here it is....7 years later. I brought him to the vet....the corn is gone. Poor old Darrel is 11 years old now and corn free. I can't explain it...I just wanted to share it. My vet doesn't want to operate on it as he has had a severe reaction to anasthetic the last couple of times. I have read that salicylic acid helps with corns. I have also ordered a Thera-Paw boot to give him some relief and thought I could try the salicylic acid. My vet seems to think that might work, but it will take a very long time. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Quote Images removed.
