I know this is a hard day but there are so many good memories that can be recalled on such a beautiful girl's birthday... And I know you know I know *exactly* how you feel. We always made sure to "do up" Speck's birthday (his last one before he went to the Bridge, we spent the entire day in the city with him, taking him everywhere from Central Park to Petco to a barbecue festival in downtown Manhattan and then home for his cake and special meal) so the first birthday when he was at the Bridge (God, still hard to type), I felt very directionless. I am hoping you and Jason having each other to lean on might make this day a little bit less painfful though I know it's never easy...
