Guest asdf
Hello All, New to the forum, recently noticed my 6 year old boy (Snake) is getting a greyish cast to his eyes. We were at the vet recently and they did not mention any issues with them like cataracts. He seems to see fine. Anyone ever notice this? What is it?? THanks --Tommy
ZoomDoggy
If you are concerned, see a veterinary ophthalmologist. These specialists often find things that regular vets (even very experienced ones) can miss. Oh, and welcome to Greytalk. Quote ~Aimee, with Flower, Alan, Queenie, & Spodee Odee! Guest KennelMom
It's really hard to guess based on your description...could be lots of things, could be nothing. I always take eye issues to a vet. opthamologist to confirm any diagnosis our primary vet has made. Eyes are something I don't mess around with...we've had a few eye issues in our pack so we know the opthmologist well In order to see them here, you have to have a referral from regular vet. Guest Energy11
Could just be the natural coloring? Hard to say. Pretty YOUNG for cateracts.
RobinM
Freddygirl's (nancy) Freddy was 3 when she developed a cloudy grey cast over her eyes. She had to go to a opthomologist and I forgot what it's called but it was a simple eye drop 2x a day and all is OK. I would DEFINITELY bring him in so that whatever it is can be treated. Maybe you will find it's nothing! Worth the trip, for sure! Best of luck and please update. Guest myIrishlass
My girl has a blueish/greyish tint to her eyes, and multiple vets said that it is just the process of getting older (she is almost 8 but has had it since 6). Not for me to diagnose, though, since there are other things it could be.
