Guest BlackandBrindle
Do you apply to corns neat or diluted in something? If so, what?
Hawthorn
When I used it I applied one drop neat directly on the corn every day, followed by one drop of vitamin E oil. You have to be careful that they don't lick the Tea Tree oil off though as it can be toxic if ingested. Most dogs hate the smell though so won't go anywhere near it. Guest BlackandBrindle
How long until it's absorbed?
Hawthorn
To be honest I can't remember - it was quite a few years ago - but I don't remember it as being a very long-winded, messy procedure. I used to wait until Charlie was lying on his side asleep and then just drop it carefully on - sometimes he didn't even wake up! Guest luvRgreys
A Yahoo list has been started for greys with corns, cornhound, and we are having very good results using bee propolis. The best results are with 70% proplois. Place a drop of it on a small spot bandage and apply it at least once a day, better 2 or 3 times daily. Others are using bee propolis (empty capsule) mixed 50/50 with aloe vera. The corn protrudes fairly quickly and then can be dremeled down or filed down. Some have disappeared completely. Red's is much smaller and he is not limping on it at all.
Guest BlackandBrindle
Sadie doesn't have a corn per se, but this really thick callous between the toes on her back foot. I assume it's from added pressure of having a weight bearing toe amputated. I'm trying the tea tree oil/vitamin e oil to see if I can get it to go away. Rustyroo
I have been using Propolis on Solo's corn for two weeks now applied two-three times a day. So far it doesn't seem to be doing anything and he is still limping a lot.
