Guest HornGreys Posted November 7, 2008 Share Posted November 7, 2008 A friend of mine's greyhound was diaganosed with Hypertension this afternoon. She wants to e-mail Dr Couto and thank him for his last artical in CG magazine and make sure we have all the information on how to treat her. This is the first case of Hypertension that our vet has seen and it will be good to talk with Dr Couto to make sure we all discuss what is going on. Thanks in advance and Corina the greyhound says thank you. Keep Corina in your prayers and she fights the Hypertension and kidney failure. Right now we are trying to get food in her system and slowly getting energy back in her. Also giving her fluids daily to flush her kidney. Guest HornGreys Posted November 7, 2008 Share Posted November 7, 2008 Thank you. We gave her more sub-q fluids tonight to help flush out her kidneys. The problem we are having is that her stomach is so upset from not being able to eat for a few days that now she is hungry but has a upset stomach. Our vet said to keep giving her fluids twice a day for 5 days and that it should help settle her stomach. We got some NutroCal in her tonight and has stayed down.
