Guest RICHandJUDE
Is your vet aware of lumbosacral stenosis in the greyhound? You might pass this along if they are not very familiar with the breed: http://www.greyhound-data.com/dir/397/Lumb...al_Stenosis.pdf I believe this is what our greyt had. She had a very hard time moving her back legs at age 12. She was on steriods her last 3 years. The steroids helped a lot. She still moved around in a (semi) stiff mannner but was able to get around and didn't seem to be in any pain. She lived to be 15 and passed on from something else. GOOD LUCK! ozgirl2
This happened to Cody when she hurt her back & had a bulgy disc!! Sounds similar - I did have the MRI. You could certainly try treatments - Cody was on steroids AND I did acupuncture with her, which made a HUGE difference! I kept her on prednisone for 1.5 years and she did well most of the time. Good luck with your girl!
