Hi Everyone,

It has been awhile since I have posted about Phoenix and his amazing journey to recovery. His weight is up to 66 lbs..that's up 15 or so lbs since he was returned to the adoption kennel in February....it is only two lbs below his race weight and that with only three legs!!!

He has attended the Greyhound Angels Adoption Picnic as well as his first M&G. He loves the kiddie pool and has mastered his own version of the cannonball.

He also celebrated his 8th birthday on 7/6.

Thanks to all of you who have written us and have wished him well.

He is one special boy.

Charges have been filed against his previous owner...I although I have heard that the case has been postponed...I am trying not to spend to much energy with negative thoughts.

Bless his heart, what a sweet boy.

Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.

So glad to hear your happy update. Phoenix is looking terrific and looks so comfy. Must be fun watching him in the kiddie pool! Excellent that he's gained back the weight, too. What a trooper he is. :kiss2
