Nest Beds Weakening Legs?

A while back I posted about Dukes hind legs getting weak and uneasy. His hind legs were even giving out on the stairs - I had to carry him down a lot.

We are scheduled for a full workup at NGAP.

I took his new nest bed away and put his old bed back out. His legs have regained strength and he's back to normal again.

Anyone else experience this?

I noticed that, when laying in the nest bed, he was prevented from laying in certain ways. One way is the typical greyhound position: One hind leg tucked under, the other relaxed, spine curves slightly, front paws extended and head down. He was not really able to lay this way in the nest bed.

The nest bed kind of forced him to curl up more or lay on one side or another - no other real position choices. When he would lay in the typical above mentioned pose, it was awkward for him.

Who woulda thunk?
