That has been going on here, and also Frosty wants to go outside a lot, but it looks like to stalk birds....she goes outside and sits. Sits like a statue and looks around, she doesn't normally do that. It almost looks like she is on guard. Would a dog do that if she had a UTI? I've never had one, but if they burn I'm thinking the cold ground would soothe it. How do they test for a UTI? Batmom Posted October 25, 2007 Share Posted October 25, 2007 Could be that, could be nothing. Here a basic urinalysis is so cheap, if in doubt I take a sample in. I usually use an old yogurt or butter container and just follow Z closely until she pees. They only need 2-3 tablespoons so it's not like you have to collect *all* of it. Guest Tenderhearts Posted October 25, 2007 Share Posted October 25, 2007 I hadn't noticed it until someone else brought it up here with their dog and a UTI, but actually all of my dogs would start sniffing Lori Ann more back there when she had the beginnings of a UTI, before she showed any other symptoms.
