Guest WarmheartedPups
I know greyhounds shed and can shed a lot....but both my pups started shedding in mid April and they are still going strong.....two months......gobs of hair Is this length of time normal? I switched food in mid April ..... could this just be coincidence? Can food make dogs shed more...longer? Thanks for the input!!
Guest simile
Mine shed all the time, and from what I've been told, that's what they do. They're not like other dogs that "blow their coats" once a year, or when they're in heat. Brushing them keeps it manageable, and the Furminator's kind of amazing (but pricey). Guest PiagetsMom
Piaget's been shedding horribly since about April, too. I brush her almost every day, but there's just been no relief. We use a "Furminator" on my son's lab mix (and with the amount of hair she sheds, it's worth every penny!), but I really didn't think I could use it on Piaget with her more sensitive, thin skin. I really hate to change food as she eats well and has no stomach problems......I'll be watching for any advice or suggestions

Batmom
Mine sometimes go through a Big Shedding period but often they shed off and on all spring-summer-fall.
