Guest patti909
Luke was limping so I checked him out. His toe was completely folded under his foot. Off tot he vet. E-rays showed it was dislocated with a chip out of the bone and torn ligaments. They are popping it back in place and splinting it but said there are no guarantees that it will heal properly. Rickiesmom
You may want to follow-up with an orthopedic specialist. These injuries can be tricky.
Guest patti909
wow, $500 for the toe. does that seem high for e-rays and to fix the dislocation???
Guest cnewsome
Seems high, but e-vets usually charge about $90 for just walking through the door! Hey, if it fixes his toe it's money well spent, right? Dislocated toes take several weeks to heal, be patient!
Guest patti909
it wasn't the e-vet; it was my usual vet just squeezed me in for an emergency appointment.

NancyB
Good luck with the toe. My Ramm dislocated his toe a few years ago and he was wrapped up for many weeks, leash walks in the yard and restricted exercise after the wrapping came off. The knuckle on that toe is larger than the others now. Guest StriderDog
Love and kisses for poor Luke! Strider had a dislocated toe before I met him and has the silly HUGE knuckle to show for it. I tell him it gives him character.
