Aerosmom
Does anyone know what size of Bite Not collar to order? Snickers is around 75 lbs. (well, pre-amputation)....I thought I'd get one because it'd be a lot more comfortable than an Elizabethan collar. I'm hesistant to just base in on weight because of our pups' unique physiques... What have you purchased/used and what is the size/weight of your grey? Thanks! Burpdog
Rear or front leg? Front leg the people I know used a t shirt. Quote Diane & The Senior Gang Burpdog Biscuits
Aerosmom
Left front. Do you need to gather the bottom of the t-shirt with a hair elastic so she doesn't trip? Burpdog
Buy a t shirt that is roomy (buy several). I think I've used XL (men's size) but if she is tiny you can go smaller. Cut it up the back of the shirt about 1/2 way. Put it on and tie the shirt in a knot -- the knot will be on her back. They can wear it 24/7 and you change it when it gets soiled I would stitch the open arm hole closed that is over the amp site (obviously--it would be hard to get on otherwise ) Edited May 21, 2007 by Burpdog Quote Diane & The Senior Gang Burpdog Biscuits
Finnsliz
Gail I would go the T-shirt route as well. Snickers will be anxious enough without having to deal with the collar. Marilyn has one at the kennel you could borrow if you really needed it.
