Guest OurStretch
I have noticed since I came back to GT that a lot of people lost their puppers I see it in siggys and I just wanted you all to know . My deepest sympathies are out to you May all your babies run free at the bridge until we all can be with them again Adding my sympathies to all who have experienced loss. It was November that we lost Jake, our mixed breed pupper. He was a day short of 14 yrs old and had to put him to rest due to severe arthritis, kidney disease and a nasal tumor. We miss him a lot. We adopted our brindle boy Stretch shortly thereafter. Although Jake could never be replaced, Stretch has given us much happiness. He is our first grey. I will add that it is wonderful to be part of the Grey community. So to all our missed puppers, run with the wind and we will see you again one day but we remember you always. maryz
I'm new here and don't have a grey as yet, but knowing the pain and sorrow of losing a beloved pet, I just wanted to express my deepest sympathies and condolences to all who have lost their precious babies. May they all run free at the bridge together. Fiona3
I would like to add my sympathies to all those who have lost a beloved pet recently. Having lost four dogs, I know the heartache, pain and terrible aching for them that you are experiencing. I wish I had the proper words to say that would take away your sorrow. Perhaps knowing you are not alone and that others are thinking of you and your loss will help in some way. Guest Snowy8
THIS is what is so great about Greytalk...we've all experienced the loss, some of us recent, some of us years ago but the hurt is still there....and the tears still fall. I thank you for the sympathies & I would like to add mine also.
Forevermybabies
I'll add mine as well. My heart aches every time I come to this thread, and I find myself reading some and just feeling too sad to read them all or post. But my sympathies are with everyone who has to post here. It's such a painful truth of life that no matter how long they are with us, it's never long enough. Mindful of you the sodden earth in spring, And all the flowers that in the springtime grow, And dusty roads, and thistles, and the slow Rising of the round moon, all throats that sing The summer through, and each departing wing, And all the nests that the bared branches show, And all winds that in any weather blow, And all the storms that the four seasons bring. You go no more on your exultant feet Up paths that only mist and morning knew, Or watch the wind, or listen to the beat Of a bird's wings too high in air to view,-- But you were something more than young and sweet And fair,--and the long year remembers you. Edna St. Vincent Millay. Time does not bring relief; you all have lied Who told me time would ease me of my pain! I miss him in the weeping of the rain; I want him at the shrinking of the tide; The old snows melt from every mountain-side, And last year's leaves are smoke in every lane; But last year's bitter loving must remain Heaped on my heart, and my old thoughts abide! There are a hundred places where I fear To go,--so with his memory they brim! And entering with relief some quiet place Where never fell his foot or shone his face I say, "There is no memory of him here!" And so stand stricken, so remembering him! Guest DogDayzGreyz
I thank you all. We are coming up on Thunder's one year anniversary on May 10th, and my heart is breaking all over again. Not to mention Billy in December. I wish I could wrap us all in a big huge hug.
