I wrote this poem when she died. Lucy (Nasty Rose) December 12, 1989 - December 2, 2002 Remembering Lucy Soft eyes, gentle face resting now in God's embrace loyal companion, noble friend we hoped your life would never end a life so short, yet so profound dearest companion, sweet greyhound so much love have we for you and you for us, we know that too your final race was so unfair we miss you so, it's hard to bear though broken hearts in time may mend we'll not forget our loyal friend precious Lucy, we're so glad you came our lives will never be the same.
