  1. My heart sank when I saw the word Flare. Praying this is short lived and Beau is back to his normal self quickly. Hugs to you and Rich, I know what it's like to live on a roller coaster and flare ups drive me mad. :bighug to you all.

  2. you have 5 lines

    Your top link

    Your image

    Your dog names

    A blank line

    Your dance line

    Seems normal to me.

Exactly, so why do I get that Oops message when I try to put a new siggie link in or even when I just remove the blank line. In other words it won't let me change a darn thing. Ideas?

Okay, I cleared my cache again and this time all I tried to change was the font size of the last line. Still no dice!

  3. Jake can't have the depo shots as it's a steroid and he has TBD that while we have it under control we haven't dured it. So we give Cartrophen shots (similar to adequan) once a month, but the thing that has helped the most IMO is gabapenten. Jake gets 300mg in 3 100mg doses a day. He accidentally went without any for a few days when I was away and DH for some reason got things screwed up  Jake couldn't even get himself up and moving. After only 2 doses of gabapenten he was back to normal.

  4. Okay......tried this ^^^, and it did work. However, when I try to save the changes I get this:

    Oops! Something went wrong!

    [#10211]

You may only use up to 5 lines of text in your signature.

    Need Help?

I haven't changed or added to the number of lines that I'm using from the siggie that was previously posted and I'm trying to change - just highlighted, and linked to the data page as suggested above.

I've run into the same problem. I only tried to change the siggie link left everything else the same. Then I took the siggie link out completely and took out the space between the bottom two lines of text, so 3 lines of text only. Still get that Oops message. I've cleared my cache numerous times and still get that message. Help!

  5. Manuka honey is the best..

where can you get this from? edited to add: how is it different from locally made honey? or packaged honey (from major food stores)?

I use raw honey for wound healing. I was skeptical at first, but was amazed at how it helped heal a bad foot wound that Jake had. I couldn't find manuka honey so I bought unpasturized "raw" honey in the organic section of the grocery store.

  6. Sounds like there is still something in there to me also. Slim had a somewhat similar issue with unexplained bleeding between the toes that a board certified vet and lots of $ could not help either. Being the open minded person I am  I decided to try some pascalite clay www.relfe.com/pascalite.html IT WORKED!!!!!!! I would add water to a small amount of it and make a paste and then put the paste between his toes and wrap in saran wrap and then an outer bandage and leave on for ~12 hours a day. Since I worked I was only able to leave it on for ~half a day and I would wash it off in the AM with the hose before I left. It took around a month but the reason I kept doing it was because its appearance did improve little by little so I could see it was "working". One day I noticed a tiny black sliver of something it had drawn out. I continued to apply it and several more little black slivers-very small- were drawn out. Some were drawn to the surface where you could see them and wash or wipe them off. At that point It didn't take long before no more emerged, it appeared all was well, so I quit using it then and it healed completely and NEVER RECURRED. The indians call that particular vain of pascaalite ewayke which means" the dirt that heals"-and they are right. I had spent ~10 times as much on the vet- that didn't help at all- as what the "the dirt that heals" cost lol! I also had suggusted it to another lady that had some sort of issue with her hioundie that they couldn't clear up and she tried it and it cured her houndie too. It is labor intensive making the poltice everyday and applying it-and it needs to be about 1/4" thick over the sore with saran wrap to keep it from drying out too soon- for possibly weeks but was in reality a small price to pay for curing it completely. Like your hound Slim's activity had been limited because it would bleed so bad, was basically raw-and like you the vet couldn't do anything.

Thanks for this idea. It sounds just wild enough to work! I will check out the link you included in your post and talk to the vet about it. Thanks again!

Wild indeed. They even mention corns. I'm going to give this a try.

  7. Can anyone explain exactly how the laser therapy works? Is it used on humans? Never heard of it and am very curious.

There are links above you can read.

I have had laser therapy at my chiropractor/massage clinic. I found when I was having the laser treatments on my shoulder and neck I didn't need regular massage. Adjustments were fewer too I am guessing because I wasn't hunching my shoulders due to pain.

  8. I have two open bags that my dogs have been eating and no one has gotten sick. I do nit know the dates since I put the food in containers and throw the bags away. I don't know what to do.

I just returned mine to Costco in a trash bag.... I had my slip so no problem.

In the same boat as Jennifer, plus I don't have my receipt. They did call me today though so it isn't like they don't know I bought a bag recently. I'm going to call them and see what they will do.
