has your regular vet checked her eye yet? they too can treat it, it's not such an uncommon problem.
If that is in fact the only eye problem. Since we have an opthamologist close and he is not outrageous in price, I took Solomon to him. Granted Solomon was older, however, vet told me never let anyone put pred in his eyes because of an underlying condition. It would cause horrible ulcers. I will always go to an opthamologist with an eye problem like panus

Our vet suggested Hemopet - any reason to use MSU instead?
MSU is the known go to place and I bet cheaper than Hemopet

I never wanted to see her name here, like so many others
Sending my sympathy & hugs. Somehow she touched me even though I didn't get a chance to meet her.

Sending my sympathy What a beautiful angel!

I'm crying with you. I sure her momma, Ivey was there to greet her and she'll teach her the ropes in Rainbow Land.
Run like the wind grandpup!

Haven't read all the replies. The kind of food depends on how much you feed. Some of the cheaper food you might feed 6 cups whereas a better food you can feed 3 cups.

aka Huston
All day I've been trying to figure out how to fit a "one in a million" dog into one post and I finally decided I can't.
Many thanks to: Denise Grossman, the one who helped me find "the one who has been called ugly", Dee Hansen who adopted him to me, Mary Young who hosted us that weekend he came home, his wonderful vets Robin Robinett Dvm, Patricia Baley and Dr. Ben Tharp (Voss Rd Animal Hospital) the wonderful surgeon who gave us more time and held my hand the last few weeks, Shelley Ann Lake who helped during the evening hours keep him comfortable, a wonderful support staff: Jerri L. O'Donohoe, Marilyn Varnberg, Toni Kane and Jey Flick and many others.
As much as Huston loved events (so many butts to sniff), he was not a dog's dog, he was a people's dog. Over the years we (I had to be the play partner, not another dog) played, stuffy, grab the feet, boxing, bitey face, attack the sweeper and on and on
He was so sad this morning when I told him it was time to go (he couldn't walk) but knew that he had to. A smart, intuitive and independent soul, I asked him to find my Mom and that they had better both be there to great me when I come.
Nothing will be the same again, nothing..... -
I think there is a specialist near you. Gulf Coast is very expensive -- very. I won't go there. We have many good vets in the Houston area.
Where did you adopt from?
-
Thinking of you and hoping for a positive update.

No chance he has worms? I think I would take him back in after going through an infected analysis gland with dolly I can tell you that it's not something you want to go through

Dr. Marziani is good. When is he booked? Sent you a couple of emails. they need the xrays and MRI results.
-
Who is he booked with for acupuncture? If it's Dr. Baley or Dr. Robinett -- keep the appointment.
-
I remember! Poor guy I can't send you a message with my phone number or that of Cat's (you met her also) because you don't have enough posts.

Sending my sympathy What a handsome guy

Not sure what vet you are using, but you can email me Burpdog@msn.com and I'll try & steer you towards a clinic that can help you.
-
A 3 day treatment with panacur might help. It's where I start. If that doesn't work, I move to food.
It's possible she needs a food change. Perhaps the food is now too high in fat for her.

I am so sad to hear this Sending my sympathy and a big hug.

Thyroid panel at MSU. How old is he? Have you changed his food in the past few years?
