has your regular vet checked her eye yet? they too can treat it, it's not such an uncommon problem.

If that is in fact the only eye problem. Since we have an opthamologist close and he is not outrageous in price, I took Solomon to him. Granted Solomon was older, however, vet told me never let anyone put pred in his eyes because of an underlying condition. It would cause horrible ulcers. I will always go to an opthamologist with an eye problem like panus

    aka Huston

All day I've been trying to figure out how to fit a "one in a million" dog into one post and I finally decided I can't.

Many thanks to: Denise Grossman, the one who helped me find "the one who has been called ugly", Dee Hansen who adopted him to me, Mary Young who hosted us that weekend he came home, his wonderful vets Robin Robinett Dvm, Patricia Baley and Dr. Ben Tharp (Voss Rd Animal Hospital) the wonderful surgeon who gave us more time and held my hand the last few weeks, Shelley Ann Lake who helped during the evening hours keep him comfortable, a wonderful support staff: Jerri L. O'Donohoe, Marilyn Varnberg, Toni Kane and Jey Flick and many others.

As much as Huston loved events (so many butts to sniff), he was not a dog's dog, he was a people's dog. Over the years we (I had to be the play partner, not another dog) played, stuffy, grab the feet, boxing, bitey face, attack the sweeper and on and on :)

He was so sad this morning when I told him it was time to go (he couldn't walk) but knew that he had to. A smart, intuitive and independent soul, I asked him to find my Mom and that they had better both be there to great me when I come.

Nothing will be the same again, nothing.....
