    My new girl Elly is getting a dental this morning . They might have to remove 6 teeth . I'm waiting patiently :offwall for the vet to phone . Can't wait to pick up my baby later this afternoon . I hope she's doing ok ....

    Jeanie is doing so much better , yesterday she had her stitches taken out . She also had an x-ray for her front leg that was sore before her comforter eating incident . X-rays were all clear . The vet is thinking that has pulled a muscle in her shoulder . She also has a sensitive spot in her back .She's on Tramadol for her pain and also limited exercise . I wanted to thank everyone for there kind words and support when Jeanie had surgery it really meant a lot to me .

    Jeanie didn't have a good night she was up at 3 am screaming and panting . I'm off to pick up some pain meds for her from my vet . The E- vet didn't give us any .

    It's very cold here today -29 and a wind-chill of -37 sometimes she is shivering even with her sweatshirt that Susan dropped off and a blanket on her . Sometimes when she stands she pants a lot , she's in pain . Jeanie is eating and keeping everything down so that's a good thing . I think with her age it will just take a little longer for her to recuperate .

    Jeanie is home !! Just picked her up a few hours ago . Her underside is really bruised and so is one of her back legs . She ate a little bit of her Gastro food and drank some water . She's also been outside for a pee . So things are looking good . She's sleeping now I can finally breath , it's so good to have her home . :kiss2

    Yes that's the same Jeanie she did come from GRA , I do remember emailing you . She will be 11 this year she's such a good girl . We actually made it out to Mount Elgin to see Bill and Freddie about 3 years ago when we were in Toronto it was great . We also have Chance who is 7 and our newest addition Elly who is 6 . Chance is out of sorts without her here they have a really strong bond he's been with her since he was 11 months old .

    Went to see Jeanie last night she looked ok she was standing in her cage . I was kind of irked at the staff telling me I could only stay for 15 minutes they only had 1 other dog back there and the clinic was empty . The vet tech says to me it's 10 to 6 you have until 5 after 6 to visit .

     

     

    I felt like saying i just spent $ 2300.00 to treat her and I'll stay as long as I want I also asked to speak to a vet and was told she is in appointments all evening and could not talk to me . This is not my regular clinic and she will not be going back for checkups she'll be going to my regular vet for that

     

    Don't get me wrong I'm grateful they were there to save my girl but a little bit of compassion would be nice . Just talked a vet this morning and if she keeps her food down she will be coming home this evening !! The vet said she just stands in her cage watching the world go by , poor pup she 's probably waiting for me to come and get her out of there .

     

     

    It's a weird set up at this clinic in the evening from 7 pm and on it a emergency clinic the staff and vets change and during the day it's a regular vet clinic with there own staff . We only have 1 Emergency clinic in our city to go to .

    just talked to the vet , Jeanie is doing well ! :yay she is very sore as could be expected . They took a lot more comforter stuffing out of her stomach . There going to give her some water later today and some food tomorrow morning and if she does well she'll be coming home on Tuesday . I'll be going to see her this evening .

     

    She had just started taking Meloxicam last Friday for a pulled muscle , I was thinking that she ate the bedding because she had a stomach upset from the meds , in the summer she is always eating grass outside maybe she thought that eating the stuffing would settle her stomach she never ever has chewed anything like that before . The vet said that could be a possibility .

    My Jeanie is in emergency surgery getting an obstruction out of her stomach .This morning she threw up pieces of her comforter , she ate the inside quilting material . Why I don't know she has never chewed anything like that before . She was lethargic all day i thought it was from her sore leg and her meds she was on. At 5 she threw up her breakfast along with more quilting stuff I took her to the E-vet and they did blood test , x-rays and a barium test . The Barium is not moving past her stomach. I'm just so worried because she is 10 . He'll be phoning me around 2 am to see how she is . Poor little girl she is such a drama queen and a screamer I wish I could be there with her :weep
