There are harnesses that are made to help support your hound. They have a handle on the top ( along your hounds back) that you use to help lift them as they walk. This may be one part of the solution. I don't know the brands but other GTers surely can help. Do you have a vet that might come to your home to evaluate? That could relieve some stress for her.

Good luck, 14 is a grand age and if she is eating and drinking there is still hope.

[Adopting a slightly older greyhound]

I love the older hounds, still active , but not crazy like the younger ones. They are respectful and patient with other dogs and people. Of course you don't have them as long, but you are only talking a few years difference than a 3 or 4 y.o. They are loving and loyal, go for it, you will be happy you did.

Intercepter is currently back on the market. The plant was closed in 2012 to up grade. The FDA found some problems with the facility. Other meds for canines and humans were temporarily not manufactured. Not sure when it was put back into production but it is available.
