  1. So sorry you are going through this with your hound. I would use manuka honey on the wound.

dogbooties.com makes fleece booties that are very soft and have a decent velcro to keep them on. I purhased them in size small for my hound and they work well.

Website has a sizing chart and how to measure foot. I was apprehensive of the size small but they did fit well. They won't hold up to outdoor use and are inexpensive and ship quickly.

    Good luck.

  2. Hello, sorry you and your hound are dealing with this eye issue. Did you adopt your hound from GPA-WI? You may want to contact them about veterinarians or a specialty vet for this problem. Wisconsin Veterinary Referral has 3 locations in your general area. Dr. Barker DVM is highly regarded by GPA-Wi. and she was previously head vet at Dairyland race track.Good luck, eye issues should be taken very seriously. Please keep us updated.

  3. Please let her decompress and feel safe in this strange new world. I would not try to walk her, just out for potties. Every time you walk by her toss a treat, talk softly and calmly. Pet her when she comes to you and asks for attention. This is all new and frightening to her, she does not trust you yet, but she will. You'll get there, it may take weeks, but you'll get there. Keep us posted on your progress.

  4. So very sorry for your loss of Logan. Questioning our decisions is often the case in regards to letting our best friends go. Hopefully you will see that you made the best decision you could with the information you had and you made it out of love for Logan.

  5. In the US there are thin rubber booties called PAWZ. They are like little balloons, those pulled over the softer felt/fabric booties might keep every thing on. They are somewhat difficult to get on which is why I think they would not pull off easily. Purple is the color size for most greyhounds. Check your local pet store or online.

  6. How much exercise does she get? Perhaps she is bored and restless and could use some positive reinforcement.  I personally don't believe dogs are resentful and want to get back at us. More potty breaks, exercise and remove and secure everything you don't want her getting into. Good luck and keep us informed. I'm sure others will have great suggestions for you.

  7. I am sorry you are struggling with your pup. When you brought her to the vet did she get sub-q fluids for dehydration? Do you think a canine companion would help her, if that is possible for you? I hope you find a solution, please let us know how your progress comes along.
